Opened in October 1997, many senior instructors within the IKMF and other federations have trained at the academy or privately under Jon Hegan. No other Krav Maga school in the UK can offer the same level of experience in reality based combat or the broad range of martial arts qualifications amongst its instructors. Principal instruction comes from Head Instructor GJJ 1st degree black belt Professor Jon Hegan, who received his black belt personally from UFC legend Royce Gracie in 2013 after completing the infamous Valente Brothers black belt test, the first person from the UK to have taken the test.
